Good weekend, got my amp fixed, rehearsal was better of course, went out for early dinner (yay sushi) and I'm gonna be old soon. Today sucked a bit, there was this customer at work we had just sold a car too, but he wanted rides everywhere, free oil change, and a bunch of other favors we don't normally do for anyone. Made my dad crazy and in turn made me crazy. I also need to get my driver's license renewed by Thursday but they never mailed me a letter to renew it so I have to go to the DMV tomorrow =/
But yay got a harmonica from my sister (I got her one last year and she doesn't even play it! but I've wanted one lately so)
And pictures, random pictures:
Harmonica in the key of G, i'm having trouble learning how to do single notes
my fingers like to do this once a year, they're a lot better now but still raw, makes guitar playing crazy painful
Work computer
Current gear rig:
Vox Valvetronix AD60VTH (amplifier head, 60 watts, modeling amp: half-tube half-digital)
Avatar G412H (4x12" amp cab, loaded with Celestion Vintage 30's)
Vox VC12 Pedalboard
Morley Bad Horsie 2 (wah pedal)
Boss DS-1 Distortion pedal
ESP LTD KH-202
and I have my Fernandes FR40 guitar but I need to get it fixed, weird buzzing on the 3rd and 4th frets on the A and B strings, respectively

Liebe Ist Für Alle Da (Dlx) (Dig)
By Rammstein
see relatedthanksgiving
Had lots of food that's mostly uneaten and sitting in the fridge. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, blocks of prime rib, honey baked ham, etc. My stomach hates me for eating all this.
Got a quote for my amp, it's setting me back $185 (pretty steep considering I spent $380 for it, 60 for shipping, used), apparently the three way switch for the ohms impedance was a 4 way switch, the ohms being 2, 4, 8, 16 instead of 4, 8, 16 as it's labeled in the back. It's probably a manufacturer error but it's way past warranty and I bought it online off Ebay, but it lasted for 3 years even with the output problem, which makes me glad it'll be more than 3 years before I have to fix it again. The guy said I'd get it by Saturday at the latest but he also said if not, then Monday, and of course I want it done by tomorrow so I don't have to go another practice without it.
Saw Ninja Assassin with a friend and her cousins (hah!), it was exactly the kind of movie I'd expect it to be, but for a ninja movie it was awfully loud and not very much anticipation. Rain does a decent job considering it's his second english role, and the other actors are mostly average as well. Tons and tons of CG blood is spilled, and the only thing I hated about the action scenes is that it was too dark for the audience to see it in their full glory and it was hard to tell what was happening half the time. Only would recommend it to those who want to see a bloody ninja nothing-but-action movie.

Total Brutal
By Austrian Death Machine
see relatedSo my new obsessions this week are, trying to look for a decent mini guitar (not a travel or a steinberger guitar), but a childsize one that'll be fun to play around with when I don't feel like lugging my guitars around or just a gimmick backup guitar since my Fernandes guitar has some weird fretboard problem.
Also custom maps for Left4Dead since I don't feel like paying money for Left4Dead2 since the game is an ugly mess on my computer and runs horribly.
Oh and woot.com, I've gotten 3 shirts, a gaming mouse, and two pairs of sound isolating earphones for cheap =D
My amp is still sitting in the shop, but I went out and bought a great coat from H&M so at least I can cross off something on my procrastination list. I hope it gets fixed soon cause playing through a keyboard amp at rehearsal is just depressing.

I've changed the background and header (shows only on xanga)! I recently got a ticket to go see Melt-Banana at the Troubadour on December 16, so excited! If you don't know who they are and "japanese experimental noiserock" sounds like good music to you, check them out!
Also I'm going to NYC in about a month to see friends, yay! Can't wait for that as well.
Gotten into a bunch of new music lately, got bored of the 1000 or so songs on my ipod nano and decided to listen to last.fm radio more, which was a great decision, got into a few bands and may go see more new shows in the future.
My amp recently broke (the Vox Valvetronix ad60 head) and it's got a massive drop in volume, but I'm gonna get a quote from Johnny Thompson today and hopefully it won't be too much ><
Also my car engine has problems so I might end up switching to another car.
Other than that I leave this entry with this, uploaded it yesterday myself:

Best of Van Halen, Vol. 1
By Van Halen
see relatedI've been wanting to write a new post. eh
Halloween was dull this year, didn't dress up or go out, but I was planning on being Chie Satonaka from Persona 4. It's a female character but she has really short hair and I wasn't gonna try to change my appearance other than having brownish hair and wear black shorts instead of... yeah.
Anyway I've been pretty good, the band had a great gig a couple weeks ago for a church event. It has the biggest turnout we've had so far (more than 100) and we played fairly well. Also our music is on iTunes and last.fm if you wanna check them out!

So most Roth-era Van Halen fans ignore the Hagar-era and vice-versa. I was a Roth-era fan for a longest time until I listened through this (I had before, but it didn't have the same effect on me)
VAN HALEN "Human Beings"
It's not really one of their more well known songs but it's easily one of my favorites.
